I was just informed that the front shocks on my car were assembled backwards, evidentially many many years ago. The piston area of the shock body is supposed to be facing out between the upper control arms, not in, like they are. As you can see from the old photo, that's how they were when I got the car. Just sent information to Peter Caldwell for evaluation. Another hitch in the program. About to hang it up for a while. :thirsty: :thirsty:  PJ

I found out from the man who knows, Peter Caldwell, their MGA shocks! Now I need to find a pair of used rebuildable TF shocks. Don't know but TD Armstrong's might be the same. PJ

A pair popped up in NJ on Ebay today.$80 bucks no bids. Sell the others and ya might break even.

I just bid on them John. Thanks, PJ

Canceled the bid! To much for a pair of cores that need rebuilding anyway. PJ

Well, through the good graces of Roy Hamlyn, I now have a pair of original shocks for the TF. I have to send them off to Peter Caldwell for a rebuild. What a relief, as I thought I'd be in for a tough time finding a pair.
