Does anyone here have experience with telescopes? I have a problem that I could use some advice with. Recently I picked up a second hand Bushnell 700x3 reflecting telescope with a 20mm eyepiece. I bought a 4mm eyepiece for it off of Amazon and it arrived Saturday. Last night I took the telescope out to look at the super moon. With the 20mm lens I had no trouble getting it focused on the moon, but with the 4mm I just couldn't get it focused. During the day I had played with it and no issues getting the 4mm to focus on things like pine needles on trees or the water tower.

Not sure what to tell you (though I have several telescopes). You will surely need to filter the image.
Often a telescope can be too much for the moon (given it has a brightness magnitude of about -12). The terminator is fun to look at though (with all the shadows and such).

Mark, that is probably the problem then, thanks. I am new to telescopes and everything I have done so far is just experimentation. This lens is much more powerful and I wind up with just a really bright blur. I'll look into filters.
