Tech Recycling

Yep, I've dumped off a number of old bits and pieces. Even a monitor and tv despite a $25 fee. Easier than spending time finding some other way to free up floor/desk space.

Around here people still practice the "Find a quiet dirt road and toss it out" method of getting rid of old TV and monitors. They do tires the same way.

Our local waste management recycling center takes all sorts of electronics for free. A few years ago I turned in some old mercury thermometers and the guy handed me an equal amount of digital thermometers; a pleasant unexpected surprise.
