So what are these? They are on my 57 bonnet. They look like some kind of rivet going through the reinforcement brace under the bonnet. Do they belong there?

I'm betting ...

Windscreen washer squirter plugs!

I'm not sure what the function is, but they definitely belong there. Later cars didn't have them, but my 56 does.

Nope, those holes (if present) would be in the scuttle, not the bonnett. Besides, there is no good access underneath for hoses.

The bonnet on the early TR3 had two rivets there the hold the skin tight against the rib. I don't think they are the original rivets though.

If you look close you can see them in the picture. To bad my wife did not see them.

Ah yes, I remember - sorry for your loss there Keith, but that is funny!

I just went to the other side of the house without saying a word. I think I should get some sort of award for good behavior.

Can anybody ID the tread pattern, I remember it well?
