T-Series TD tach restoration/repair

I am working on a 1950 TD for a friend. One detail that needs attention is the tachometer. It is stuck on 2800 rpm. I'm not comfortable digging into gauges that I am unfamiliar with. Has anyone had gauges restored by someone reliable. If so, can you let me know contact info for them.

Last month BobRitts asked about speedometer repair shops in this (MG) forum. The inital post was 2/10/05. I'm sure there is away to link the topic here, but I don't know how. Any way a short answer is these guys can do the job,

My '52 TD tach jumps all over the place. I'm going to try replacing the cable first, if not that, I'll be looking for some advice here!

It addresses speedometers but mechanical tachs are the same basic works only much simpler since much of the complexities of the speedo is there to run 1 or 2 odometers.

Rebuilders are fine if that is what you need but the disassembly, diagnosis and reassembly of these things is not brain surgery and you may find some simple cleaning or adjustment resolves the problem.

Just got my TD Speedo back from Nisonger...fine work, very pleased. 6 week turn-around though, so don't be in a hurry.

We're gunna need to get the TC gauges rebuilt....does anyone have a rough idea of what it would cost per gauge to have tham done professionally??
