TD 18508 Update.

Here is a link to the BBS for the update on my TD. Today I took apart the gas tank and spare tire carrier. A few more bits to order and that should do it (yeah right!) I need to order the rear spring front bushings and the shackle pads as I've decided to pull the rear springs and will rebuild them. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll start reassembly.

Link to follow.

Re: TD 18508 Update.

I need to rebuild the rear springs also Vince. Problem with me is, so far, there's no new TF springs available. I'll probably take them to a spring re builder and have them re arched and heat treated so they both match. My right rear has a slight sag in it. PJ

Re: TD 18508 Update.

I probably won't do the arching. (costs for now) They look like they are not sagging but the pads between the leaves, the rear and front bushings and the center pads are all like tar, all melted and gooey. I'll pull them out, blast, paint and reassembly. Much nicer to be able to this as compared to the B's.

Not sure if this works or not but try and copy and paste this into your browser. Steve S. let me know that the first link I posted was open to all my personal info. Not sure how to stop that so we'll try this.
