Holy crackers. I may have to rethink that. I had to finally shut the video off, was making me queasy just watching.
*gulp*

Hehehehhe - I was trying to figure out how they stuffed a turbo'd F-1 engine in a SRT4 until they slowed it down to real time. Cool video... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Yeah, I like the miata one - /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I agreed the Miata video was a little nicer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

But my son & I could have done without the music in the background. Not a huge fan of Miata's but the sound of the exhaust shounded sweet!

ok ... I agree the miata video was much more watchable... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif The driver seemed to know how to drive a bit better than the SRT4 driver did. Then again, the SRT4 driver might have had to wait til after completing the turns to accelorate because he's front drive?

*shrug* I sorta liked the music... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But I think it might have been more fun without any music at all... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, the Miata is more like what it is - the other one is an old lady driver!

The IS Director at my Clinic just returned from G'Burg...and had taken a tour of the Dragon rnning from the Foothills Parkway on the Townsend side over to Deals Gap, then on to cherokee. He had run it before, but commented to me, "I forgot how many turns it had!" He and his son had taken their Hondas on it.

Also remarked that constrution has indeed begun on the road from Cherokee back to G'Burg. Said it was not too bad at this time, but did have the one-lane delays.

Janel....and others....bring some Dramamine or Meclizine and take it about 30 minutes before entering the Dragon. It will help the queasiness you *may* experience.

Whats wrong with the Beastie Boys?

(Deadpan) I admit that its just not my style. (Then smiles) but then I don’t feel that bad as my 15 year old son thought it wasn’t that good either. Made a disparaging comment about the songs (umm? how shall I say this?) “Strait-ness”. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But truthfully - I wasn't trying to offend & only made the comment because I would of rather heard the exhaust than the music. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

What is that on off whooshing sound? Brakes?

Aftermarket turbo blow off valve. Most likely decreases the performance, but the kids like the sound.

Bad thing is it's not even aftermarket... description said stage-3 SRT-4... That's a kit made by Mopar. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Sounds like whoever was driving never even changed gears a single time either... and let off the throttle alot. That loud BOV would get on my last nerves after about 3 minutes.

Your also seeing the difference between handheld (SRT4) versus a mounted (Miata) camera. Giving the benefit of doubt to the SRT4, if he would have been driving any faster the camera would have been really bouncing around. I'm not a Miata expert but it didn't quite sound stock. It was fun to see that he was getting a bit of throttle oversteer in places though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

The reviews of the SRT4, indicate that it is a quick and nimble car. But... If I want a driving experience... I'll take the 1st gen miata or a spridget... at least something that is RWD and convertible. I might even drive an MGBarge over that Neon.

Methinks Someone's a little biased torwards their Midget and believes that MGB's are to big and heavy to be sports cars. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe trying to pick a fight with some B owners. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

No, I've always thought MGB's are great touring cars. They can't be compared to Midgets/Sprites -totally different animals. I might get one of those MGBarges when I want to go lumbering down the road. Seriously, I think MGB's are fun "sporty" cars that can be made to handle well, but the driving experience is just different. Not for me... at this point in my life.
