Tail lamp lens gasket question?

What's the difference between the tail lamp lens seating gasket and the "lamp to car" gasket???

I have some tail lamp gaskets, but don't know which is which. I think they're incorrectly installed now.

Are they the same, made of same materials? Is one shorter than the other? Do both have bolt holes?

Thanks!

If they are like the Bugeye type, they are quite different, the bezel-to-body being grooved to accept the chrome base piece, while the base-to-lens piece is a flat gasket-looking piece (I made my own for this one)!

I recently replaced my rear tail lamp set up, buying the after market parts. The two gaskets; the lens gasket, and the lamp seating gasket were essentially identical, the only minor differences being each with their own cutouts to fit the screw posts, shape, depending on whether they were front or back placed. etc.. Both a dark gray/black medium-dense foam, 6mm in thickness, with simple cutouts to allow for screw holes, and the two middle cutouts to fit around the bulb surround molding, and bottoms to fit cleanly. When I check the Moss UK catalog, they are different prices, indicating to me they probably differ. But the set-up that I bought as a complete unit supplied the same gaskets for both applications. They were both flat, with no special grooves or indentations or contours.
If you enlarge the attached photo, you can see one of them: photo #27
