Well I know now the 1098 runs and it is too humid here to do any body work so I decided to refurb my gauges.
My tach at some point has had a mositure treatment. It caused the red in the redline area to rust. Anyone tried to repaint this little triangle or should I leave it alone for authenticity? If I do paint it seems like a special color what would you use?
On another issue regarding fefurbing the gauges. When taking them apart from info obtained from another post I noticed a lot of black soft or hardened goo involved. The catalogs only show a rubber gasket between the glass and the beazel. Is a sealent of some sort to be used when putting these back together, or is the gasket sufficient?
I must say my gauges are beautiful!
