T-minus one week

Sounds like you made a good choice, Ben. Going back to a familiar place where they really want you is a pretty good situation. They like your work, and they're willing to train you for new skills.

You earned it the old fashioned way: hard work.

Enjoy the journey!

Cheers.

Ben:

Best of luck, that was a fast 1.5 years. I agree with Nial and Doc on this one.

Sure Dale... I can still do SUs. I gotta do some soon so I don't get rusty...
Anyway...
T-minus 1 day. CJlopy is outta the stall, and had a new coil, so it should be up to making the haul to Newfield and back. as long as my 47 year old converted boat trailer holds up to being overloaded with my toolbox, I should be good. Man do I need a truck! I just gotta take it easy on the trip. Brought home everything non-essiental today, so all that's left is my box, roll around carts, creeper, and radio.
3 weeks is too long. I don't reccomend staying on any more than 2 weeks after giving notice. I'v been feeling progressivly more and more crappy about leaving all week. Second thoughts are swarming, but I have not, and will not be, changing my mind.
It'll be better next week. transition made, away from all the "I hear your leaving us" and the general upset of the current crew. I really love the folks I'm with, and I hate to be the reason everyone is upset. I wish today had been "it". tomorrow is gonna be difficult.
One more day.....
Even the owner of the "Covered Bridge Market" (aptly named for the historic covered bridge mere feet down the road) where I very often go for lunch has offered to get my lunch tomorrow.
I love small towns.

Ben:

All the upset is a testament to how nice and co-operative you are.
People only feel bad when nice folks leave.
Make tomorrow the day no one forgets for awhile.

"GOOD LUCK"

Dave
