I attended a Boy Scout meeting tonight. My son Tommy
got a little ahead of me and built and placed a couple
pistons into the block.
As lubrication, he used some synthetic oil from the garage.
I have read it is not good to run synthetic oil in your
engine during break-in.
Should I go to the trouble to remove the pistons and wipe
it all down or do I put the rest of the pistons in with the
proper oil and not worry about it?
Also, should I go to a break-in oil to use to put it together?
Thanks,

No need to redo, it won't hurt anything. (Of course, I'm not convinced synthetic will interfere with break-in anyway ... it's just wasteful to use it for oil you're going to throw away in 500 miles IMO.)
