Swine flu prevention measures

We've had several deaths from the Swine flu here on the island. Tourists arrive here from all over the world.

Thursday we recieved a lengthy list of ways to protect
ourselves from contracting the Flu.

The top two suggestions are very easy and 100% effective.
Alcohol 100% kills the flu bug on contact.

1.Purchase alcohol gel hand cleaner and use it frequently.
Keep a container in each car and a small bottle in your
pocket or pocketbook. Keep a container near the door you
enter your home most often. The Flu bug can live on dry
surfaces up to 8 - 10 hours.

2. Use the alcohol swipes to wipe down shopping cart
handles, gas pump handles, etc.

An ounce of prevention...............

PS: there is now not a single bottle of alcohol gel or
swipes to be found in any store on the island.

Perhaps you could make your own? A little Vodka and jello... :jester:

If it is orange jello, you'd have a screwdriver.

I'll have to check out the Bacardi and Jello supplies-
maybe a good emergency mix!

How will a fifth get you??!!

I do appreciate public places that have the hand gel at the entrances, such as the cafeteria at the local hospital, some grocery stores, and the last few cruise ships I have been on. I also periodically "Lysol" the photo op items in our museum here as kids climb all over them.

brookllands, think about it!, whats the one thing we all touch each and every day?.."money", the best vehicle for transfering all kinds of stuff to the greatest number of people in the least amount of time, one cure..send it all to me i, know how to get rid of it quick!

I've tried that-it's not as good as you'd think (but it is a good way to get drunk when you have a sore throat).
