Does anyone have any opinions on this cam or has used it in there car. It seems to be a good all around performance cam but are there pros and cons for it?

Have a look at the mini sites. I found many classic mini drivers love this cam. I called Nick at swifttune he was very helpful. I ordered the sw5-07 high lift kit a few weeks ago, the entire package cost me 1100.00cdn shipped to my door, a very good deal.

included the cam, lifters, springs, 1.5 roller rockers, oil pump and the vernier duplex timing gears. The roller rockers are beautiful, I want to replace the flowers on the table with them, the Mrs. not to happy about that. It will be aprox. two months before I can tell you how the setup works.

I have the SW5 in my 1275 Mini. As stated above most people who install this cam like it... if they want a strong street Mini (or inline 1275).

The idle remains very civil and smooth. Torque comes on early and low. I can feel the difference in my car. The pull starts just above 1500 RPM. I try not to push my car over 4k RPM too often and the cam has plenty of torque up to that speed. I'm not sure where it's supposed to roll off.

My only complaint was that my cam came with no (zero) documentation and I had to contact Keith Calver (a mini tech specialist in the U.K.) to get the settings. Keith Calver is the guy who recommended the cam to me based on his experience with the SW5.

I have an early 1275 that has been bored out +60 due to age and previous neglect. The head had deeply recessed valves so I'm now running the "big valve" version of the 12G940 casting. I have matched the ports to the manifolds but I would not consider the head "ported". The car uses the stock pair of HS2 carbs with minor cleaning up of the stock intake manifold. The exhaust uses the original stamped steel Cooper-S manifold and that ties into an RC40 Mini exhaust.

Some of those specs will carry over directly to what can be done with a 1275 inline engine.
