Will a non OD single rail bolt up to a 1980 Spit that has a OD single rail? Will a 3 rail bolt up?

Yes. You'll need a longer propeller shaft and the non-OD rear mount and the plate it bolts to.

As above, but you'll also need a different clutch friction disc, as the 3-rail input shaft is 10-spline and the single-rail input shaft is 20-spline (or something like that, but definitely more than 10).
