Sorry if this has been covered before...

Is it difficult to swap out the early front brakes on a TR3A for the later? It seems the early calipers aren't made anymore, so I have to choose between rebuilding the old calipers or going to the later, smaller rotors and calipers.

Any personal experience, pro's and con's would be appreciated.

I haven't tried the swap, but it shouldn't be too hard. You'll also need the later mounting brackets; and always remember to buy the later replacement pads.

Rebuilding the originals isn't all that hard though and a whole lot cheaper than buying all that new; worth a try IMO.

One of these days, I've got to dig out some of my spares and put them up for sale.

TRF has rebuilt old style calipers on the shelf. You have to call them, I don't think they come up in the catalog

Thanks, guys. I think i'll give rebuilding the calipers myself a try.
