I'm not even sure if this is classified as an "other car" but its pretty intresting anyhow. take a lookie at this
Ebay swamp buggy

Those are pretty darned common down here! If you have access to the everglades or other nearby swampland and you like the outdoors, they are a lot of fun!! either one of them or an air-boat!! They actually race variations of these vehicles over in the Naples/Ft. Myers area!
I'll have to take a photo of my neighbor's and post it here!

Ya see?!?!? I learn something new every day. That thing woulden't really have a lot of use around here (I'm sure some would debate that) But It makes sense if you live beside thousands of acres of swampland.
Quite the contraption. Remindes me of a party boat, or a bass boat, on monster truck wheels

Wow!

Looks like a patio-boat on wheels.....with a 427!

Believe it or not, it is pretty hard to get them stuck!! 4wd and all, and if you do there are enough others out there that you could probably call to tow ya. And with those monster engines roaring, how long do you think the gators are going to hang around for?? Local old-timers (hunters, trappers and such)love em, and environmentalists hate em!!

While I was working at an auto parts store here in Fla, I can't tell you how many parts I sold for buggies. I have seen some pretty well engineered ones, like the one that used the frame to route the exaust out and the coolant from engine to radiator. I did see quite a number of them that looked like they were made from electrical conduit and duct tape.

I had a couple of scary rides on them as well, since they usually don't have any brakes.

MY EYES!!! OOWWWWWCH!!

HA /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif !! That is a WILD LBC. Would be a great Fl. car!! What would you call that? "Little Big Foot"! Maybe "Big Toe". I just passed a swamp-buggy for sale by the side of the road on the way to Ft. Meyers this afternoon. Really nicely done, $9,500 /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif !!!!! For something that is NOT even streetable and strictly for the swamps!!

PS: '65 MGB we are almost neighbors!! Post a pic or two of your "B", man!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif
