This might be old news (first kits available 4 or so years ago), but > Barratt Engineering Limited < in Jolly Olde sells kits to replace your 4 speed with a Suzuki 5 speed or your engine with a Nissan CG engine or combine the two, with no bodywork modifications required. . Install instructions available on the site; I had a quick look for hard copy reports of someone doing the install but no luck. Now looking for someone who wants to share their lottery winnings.... interesting - with the Suzuki transmission you can also get a Suzuki Swift GTI 1.3 litre engine that puts out 101horses. Which I could have purchased for $100 but missed (off to bang head against wall)
 
Yeah, It's from the Suzuki Jimni, which was not sold in the US, but very common in the UK.
