TR4/4A Surrey Top repair recommendation

Hey everyone.....several years ago I found and purchased an aluminum Surrey top and back light. as I disassembled the aluminum hard top panel....I found it in need of repair if not replacement of the rear reinforcement section where it mounts to the top of the backlight....

Anyone know or had any experience with having this type of repair done my a reputable shop? The back light is in wonderful condition and I have sourced all the necessary bits to restore both parts....but I need a little help with the top panel repairs.

Thanks

My $.02, you'll need to find a local race/restoration shop well-versed in aluminum or call one of the well-known LBC/TR shops (TRF, Triumph Rescue, etc) and see what they recommend. Posting pictures here will also help. There are some folks here on from TN so they may be able to help, too. Good luck!

Having done a few of these, I will tell you it is for the expert with a PHD in aluminum work.
Even then you will have, when done ,one of the most fragile panels in the history of bodywork.
The panel is dead soft aluminum, and can be dented by a harsh glance!! I only get mine out for special
occations .The oddest thing about this "hard top" is that some how the engineers at Standard were
able to make it leak worse than the soft top!!!!Believe it or not the rain gutters funnel water into the
gap at the top ot the windshield post........onto your left foot.
