TR4/4A Surrey Top fitment question again

This is a "Honeybourne" top.
Can some one that either has the same top or a factory fitted top, please post some pics of this area, and/or advise on how they managed the gaps.
Thinking PO may have trimmed down the steel section thus shortening it and worsening the gap.
Particularly interested on the position/angle of the the rear capping section that covers the top of the rubber door seal.
I still have to attach rubber seals to the underside of the top to seal the door glass, so not too worried about that area just yet.

I am out of town now but if you still need something by the end of the week I will take some shots of my original aluminum top - I haven’t refinished it yet so haven’t used it but as a dry fit I think it conforms a lot better against the top header of the windshield frame.
