While marvelling at the Superperformance replicars at Euro Fest I couldn't help but notice how similar the seats in the MKIII (Shelby Cobra replica) were to the seats in a Bugeye. Same shape, same pleating in back and bottom, similar size but plusher and more ergonomic. Anybody familar with these enough to know whether the would fit in a BE?

Better measure. Someone tried some of those generic "racing seats" adverstised for a Miata and discovered they were 22" wide and a Spridget Seat measures 19" or so at the base. Or something like that.

nice - though the corbeau specifies up to a 36" waist - sigh

The cobra seat look similar to those in the Superperformance car. May be exactly the same.

These have real potential for a Spridget. They are slightly more narrow than a BE seat and almost the exact same height. The problem may be with "lay back". A Bugeye front of seat to farthers point on the back is about 24". The Cobra seats are about 28 1/2". The bottom at the floor board is about the same for both.

I'm going to contact Superperformance and see what they have to say.

Seems the designer missed the connection between the car hobby and beer /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
