Ummm, the white one looks more like a Simca to me.

Still, it's a distant relative!

Ooops! Mixing up my Simcas with Sunbeams! My bad proofreading (I forgot about the Chrysler connection until you mentioned it)!

I did actually own a Simca (Etoille) once.

Anywho, good catch.....the boxy little car above is indeed a Simca Abarth sedan....here's some real "Beams (from the 2002 event)

It's a small pic, but I'd have guessed a Renault 8 with a singer Chamois grille.

That yellow one looks better with the top off, and for all I know, safer -- I recall my wife laughing at me while I struggled to get in for a "test sit" about 1.5 years back, and then she (fully ten inches shorter) had about the same trouble when she tried.

Here's a Sunbeam Tiger with a hardtop "on"(from the '02 event):

I understand the notion of difficult entry/egress. It rained on Saturday, but they let us have untimed "practice" runs....the rain was so hard, I ran with my top up (first time up this year). It's nearly impossible to get past the side safety bar in my car, especially with a helmet. Good excersize, I suppose (but somewhat humilitating when people are watching).
