TR2/3/3A Suggestions needed for TR3 pricing

I may be selling my 57 small mouth TR3 in the future. It has recently been refurbished with new paint, brakes, cooling system, interior, soft top, and it also has a hard top. There haven't been many that have sold on ebay, so I am looking for a reasonable asking price. Any suggestions?

If you are a Hagerty Insurance member, check out their website for numbers....

Dick - a *lot* depends on the condition of the car (rust, originality, paint quality, engine condition, other mechanicals, etc.) Could be just about anywhere from $3000 to $30,000.

Please more pictures..engine bay..inside.. back..trunk..etc..nice car.

Thanks for the pictures. How's the engine and drivetrain? Engine ever rebuilt? Good even compression in the cylinders?

Tom

There is no evidence that the engine has been rebuilt. Compression is an even 110+ . Oil pressure 50# cold, 30# at idle, hot. Left the factory with an overdrive that was replaced with the standard 4 speed at some time in its past. New clutch etc. Shifts fine. front susp. rebuilt and all new brake components.

I'd never set a price without first seeing it in person, driving it, and looking over the service records, but so far ... I'm guesstimating $15000.

I'm with Tom. It's hard to tell from photos about the quality of the body work, drivability, etc. A shade tree restoration can look like a professional nut and bolt restoration in photos. I have a similar car... as far as what has been done...It is not a frame off restoration, but has new paint and the mechanicals have been gone through and brought up to driving condition. 15K would probably be near my bottom dollar. Yours appears to be a little nicer than mine, so you might get upward of 17K if the body is real nice professional work. These 35K prices are outrageous and you don't see them bring that. Just my 2 cents. Nice car. Good luck.
