Success w/ timing chain cover seal [aka sear0

Thanks Harry for the information. After liberal doses of liquid wrench and much flailing away with the trusty ball pean it finally fell out. Had to cut away the hardened inside rubber parts, but it worked. Now if I could just remember where I put the new one ????????????

Thats great news! Sorry I can't help you find the new seal. I once set down the side cover for the tranny speedo cable and to this day I do not know what I did with it or where it went. I even cleaned it all up and repainted it. After two days of looking I gave up and had to make a new one. I wasn't a happy camper and I must of accidentally threw it out with the rusted junk. So I know how you feel right about now.

That's great Tinkerman. I'm glad that everything worked out. But...and I'm not being picky here or anything, this new post should have been added to your other post on this subject. The reason is that if someone else has the same problem, and does a search, the solution might not show up, because it's in another thread. Let's try to keep things together, so when there is a final resolution, the problem and results are in the same place.

Good point martx-5, I'll remember that next time. I'm still kinda new to a forum and I WILL get the spellin correct on seal, aka sear, aka seal0.
Cheers, Tinkerman
