SU needle selection

I would like to try some different needles in my carbs. Is there a good method to search the needle data base? I would like to get something richer in the 3 to 4K engine speed. The needle measurements seem to wander all over the place on the needle tables. Today I drove it 50 miles and this was the first real road miles since 1971. Now I have to learn to shift gears and not have the car deviate from its straight course. I had forgotten how sensitive the steering is.

ha, all over the road were you. Yep we all have that prob when not driveing one for 20 years. Butttt we get real good real quick, lol. Give it heck.
