'72 midget. On twin 1 1/4's which way does the centre link on the one closest to the inlet go. Little nub up or down.

Barry where does your throttle cable come in ?
 
That's not my SUs, I stole the pic from a thread a couple of weeks back called SU Contruction

My carbs looked like this pic below (hoping it's less than 200k) but the throttle came in via the black cable over the top and through the heat shield.

Thats more like it, so the little nub is on the top and the cable goes to the 2nd hole with the return spring on the first hole which means mine is on upside down. I stripped it about 5 years ago and the memory is not what it used to be, Thanks
 
I can't tell ya how many times I've had someone roll into the shop with acceleration 'problems', only to find the linkage upside-down. Usually it's after 'some other shop' or 'my cousin's uncle Harry' had the pleasure of charging for a carb rebuild... with NO IDEA what an SU is. GAH!
