Some suppliers sell a jet centering tool. It appears one tool can be used in a range of carbs, but some carbs will need a separate, different size tool. These are a bit pricey ($25-29 plus shipping). Are these a worthwhile investment?

I don't believe they are necessary though someone with more SU experience than me might disagree. I've relied on feel when the piston is at the bottom of its travel.

Kurt.

If your working with the car you are referring to in the other post you don't need a centering tool
the ones with a spring are self centering.
