hello
my 74 mgb speedo needle sticks at 75mph or so.
you can beat on the glass several times, or more, and it will jerkily(sic) return. it doestn't seem to be the needle itself, but rather something internal. the car has 78,000 or so miles on it, so I don't think that its worn out.

any chance that I can disassemble it, lubricate it?
buy a used one
send it off for repairs

if I send it off, who would you'll reccomend and a guess at the cost would be highly appreciated.
Thanks, emmett

Nisonger, price varies with the level of work necessary.

I'm dreading the day when I send my TF gages out for a rebuild. Probably be one of the last things I do to it. If I don't go broke first!

had an issue with my temp gauge - was all set to look for new and took the glass off, only to realize the glass was pushing against the needle. Before you go too far, take of the glass (I presume the bezel comes off the same way (turn it to line up the slots and off it comes) and try it then.
