Stuck pressure plate

I just went to pick up my 69 TR6 which has been in storage for the past 8 months. It started fine but it seems the pressure plate and flywheel or something has managed to stick together. It was fine when I parked it. Checked to make sure there is travel at the clutch slave. It will start in neutral but is like there is no clutch at all. I tried turning it over in gear but wouldn't break it loose. I was thinking of starting it in gear and driving it to see if the vibration would free it.
Any suggestions?

Might work to get it hot running first.
Seen an awful lot of them over the years.
My solution that generally works, is start it up, get it fully warmed up, chock the wheels on the front sides, set the park brake, shut it off, put it in 4th, clutch in and crank, let off, crank, let off, and it usually within 2 or 3 hits will break loose.
You most likely have surface rust on flywheel or plate....since you can depress the clutch, it isn't adhered to both. Once broken, the clutch will be a tad grabby for a bit until it polished the rust off.
Try it!
 
Bleed the slave cylinder, if that does not help let it run until it gets good and completely warmed up maybe 30 minutes and the try to start it in gear with the clutch depressed a few times.
 
Your plan of starting in gear and driving it (clutch depressed) will likely work too. When it happened to me, I didn't make it to the end of the driveway before it freed up.
 
I agree with driving it. Mine had sat for years. Took off in first and lurched the car a couple of times and it broke free within half a block. Just open the garage door first.
 
In an extreme case (me) one can jack up the rear, start & rev the engine in gear and have the (trusting) wife release the jack. Like the other method, have some open road in front of you and be double-darn sure you're in a forward gear.
