Geeze louise, what a job......wrestled off the parts this weekend. Had to cut out the king pin on the left side. The sleeve was frozen onto the bolt, heated, soaked, etc, etc, but no luck. So off it came w/ the grinder. The right side was a pleasent surprise and the bolt could be drifted out. Both top trunion shock bolts came out w/o much effort. The trunion suspension links would not come off the stub axle. Heat/wax and off came one, the R/S was just seized fast to the king pin. Again had to cut it off. Quite the PITA job, but at least the parts are off. Ordered new front shocks from Peter C this AM. Drop the rest of the suspension, clean, paint, re-bush and it should be like new.
Not a job for the faint of heart.....
