Strom Carb spacer

Maybe the pre 73 pedal return spring was stronger.
Don't forget to rearrange the vertical control rod on your bell crank lever, Don.

If anyone needs a new bell crank I have an extra.
A little concerned if you install the small rod so it is vertical, the spring dealys are more to the front carb and not much on the back
 
I don't think the vertical rod is going to be perfectly vertical once installed. It's ball joints so it won't be in a bind.
