Stretch a Tonneau??

Having been around some good top people, STEAM IT !! This will get it on, giving new life to the old hard vinyl is a different trick.
Clean it with a mild solvent(enamel reducer) and re- dye it with a good vinyl dye this will put some of the lost "goody" back
into it.At least for a time.....

Wow, this is an old thread I started so long ago I am not sure what car I had the shrunken tonneau for. Lots of forums make it hard or impossible to revive old topics like this, not sure why, there can always be new questions or information to add.

I never got the tonneau stretched (but I am impressed with the efforts and ingenuity exhibited here) and eventually got a new one that still fits great.

I don't leave it in the winter because I leave my top on so it won't shrink and I can drive the car if we get some decent weather and the roads dry out.
