Strange wires from steering box

Thanks everybody for the tips on adjusting my steering on my TR-3. I've ordered a new peg, seal and bushing and am waiting to get it done. But.........I've found some wires coming out of the front of the steering box which travel up to a main thick glob of wiring wrapped in black tape. Anyone know what these wires might be for?

Hi Joe Those are the wires for your signal lights and horn.
There should be a heavy brown one black stripe (horn), green goes to L post on flasher, green /red stripe left signal, green / white stipe right signal. Hope that helps.

Actually, they are working very well, and I just love the twin tone horn. What leads you to believe otherwise?
