A very good friend in Charlotte, NC is looking for a reliable company to straighten his original TR3A bumper and re-chrome it. He is willing to ship it off, but prefers a local company.

Advice/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Frank, There's a chrome shop on 95 in Florance,SC. It's just below the Petro Truck stop on a frontage road. If you get off at the Petro Truck stop exit as if your going to the Petro, turn just before the Petro entrance on to the frontage road South and it's about a 1/4 mile down. Don't remember the name, but they do a lot of truck parts. PJ

I have driven by the Florence, SC truck chrome shop many times going to the beach but did not stop. Looking from the interstate it appears that the business is selling and installing truck chrome truck parts. Are you sure they do plating?

I haven't been in there, like you, I've only passed it on the road, so I'm not sure what they actually do in there. Next time I'm over that way, 60 miles from here, I'll stop in and check. I need some work done also. All I've ever seen is their sign from 95 and just assumed it was a plating shop. PJ

If he decides not to go local, NuChrome in Fall River, MA did mine and they do excellent work, including straightening.
