Subject: [Fot] Just Sick - car stolen

Came home from a 5 day trip to find only the remnants of the smashed receiver lock where my trailer, containing my TR250 race car, was when I left. Hoped like heck it had been impounded for parking too long in a city lot [I live on a houseboat and the trailer lives in the lot where I park].
No such luck. Police report filed, insurance claim in.

Information: Trailer was a white 16x7 Road force. No exterior markings.
Car: BRG #444 TR5. Accusump and dual master cylinders under hood. Battery
and cell in rear. Full cage. Stainless lines to the injectors. Mallory
distributor. Fabricated dash. No speedo. 4 speed, no OD.

Very sad. What a beautiful car. I hope they catch the cretons and make them pay to the fullest.

I also hope those responsible get caught and the car is returned unharmed.

Seems to me this car would be easily spotted if the theif takes it to a track. That leads me to think it would either be exported or sold for parts.
And that leads me to this thought. From time to time there are guys "just finding" cars either in salvage yards or abandoned. There is a guy on another site selling a lot of parts that he "just found" in a warehouse.
Sure they might be legit, but it seems to be a good way to market stolen parts also. It would be a sweet setup to steal these cars and have a ready market to cannibalize them.

Just wondering if I am the only one that has thought of this being a possibility?

Quite possible, if it's not in a container on a cargo boat already. Some rich oil/drug guy may be tooling around his city in this in a few weeks.

Very sorry to hear. Let's hope that it will show up.
Sometimes it is the less sophisticated, like kids that
will maybe joy ride and leave it somewhere, something
like that.

Best of luck,

Everybody keep an eye on eBay for the parts.
