Ben Pender, in Madison, Alabama, has reported that a customer of his has had his Spitfire stolen.

Here's the customer's message to Ben:

All, be aware that my old red Spitfire 1500 VIN FM 872 UO, which was sold to a young fellow sometime back, was stolen from a local parking lot about a week ago – I am not sure where it was, probably in Madison. If anyone offers a Spitfire for sale in the area and it looks like the one in the photos, please let me know.

If anyone runs across it - red Spitfire with white stripes along the top of the fender lines - let me know, and I'll pass along to Ben.

Mickey, please post the photos so we can all keep an eye out, where ever it may turn up! Not exactly a chop-shop fodder type of theft!

Here 'tis - hopefully, Photobucket won't kill it due to copyright stuff...

It looks like it was sitting in south Huntsville at a local repair facility - not Ben's...if it crossed the river southward, its probably been used to repair/restore aonther car!
