*sigh* Maddening. This trailer boosting thing is lower 'n whale stool. Hope the perps are dumb enuff to try 'n sell THAT car openly... *SNAP!*

Aside:
I've always thought a set of Tesla coils set off by motion detectors would be a *good thing* as a set of gate posts...

I prefer my "reneck security system"...a 2x4 with nails painted black under the wheels....just remember to remove before you drive the car!

put the boards on top of the tires so the they will be hidden by the fenders. As the trailer moves the blocks fall in front of the tires. Same effect. Try wheel locks the the trailer drags it's unspinning wheels for a while. kinda flat-spots the tires, makes lot's of interesting noise, kinda had to pull.

Re: Stolen : MK1 Lotus Cortina , from Carmichael C

In the middle of a brake job I left my MGB out overnight.

It was gone the next morning....

but only 1/2 block.

No calipers....

kinda hard to stop and not worth it, I suppose.

And not the practical kind of security system though it seemed to work.

Wow, all these trailer being swiped is scary. I usually leave mine attached to my truck or blocked in by another vehicle... Then again, stupid things a gooseneck and weighs over 4000#'s empty. Not too easy to manhandle atleast. I hope they catch the mangey bastartds responsable for the theft!

The trailer was found East of Sacramento. The car was
found recently off the side of the road Southwest of Sac.
The car was stripped, the body panels damaged.
Keep an eye out for parts coming up for sale.Anything look-
-ing suspcious,call Roger.

Re: Stolen : MK1 Lotus Cortina , from Carmichael C

That's a shame.

If you've an e-bay account you could set it up to automatically notify (by e-mail, once daily) you if a particular stripped part (like a head), or if anything for a Cortina is offered for sale... as well as watching "manually" for the items....

We have had two of our covered trailers stolen, almost lost a Sunbeam Tiger in one.
