Spitfire Stock Right Height of an 80 Spit?

Not changing anything, just curious. I took my wife out for a 2 hour drive today to celebrate that EVERYTHING now works and works right on my Spitfire... and along the way I discovered I can NOT drive over ANY speed bumps. So when I got home and inspected for damage (an exhaust bracket got a scratch... whoopie) I thought I would measure the lowest point on the bottom where speed bumps would hit. And that is 3 inches. My Spitfire is 3 inches off the ground, and is level front to rear. Yeah, its really low but I like it. Blame it on my Knight Suspension.

Anyways, just curious what stock ride height is. I saw a few on the Barrett Jackson list that looked like they were REALLY high up on the front, so I assume thats stock.

I don't have any measurements at hand, but later Spitfires in particular had a slightly higher ride height, and almost certainly more than 3"! But what is a "Knight Suspension"? Are you saying it's not as stock? I've never driven a Spitfire, GT6 or Herald (all basically the same chassis setup) that had any problem with any speed bump! But they were all pretty much stock, so....

Where are you measuring from? bottom of the frame or the lowest hanging point? My GT6 was about 7inches from the frame to the ground until it was lowered, just about clears all the the speed humps I have found so far.

*Edit* the official workshop manual for the GT6 Plus says that there is 9inches from the underside of the frame to the ground, quite high eh?

I have dealer brochures from 74' and 76'. Both in dict 4.4 inches. I'll look around for the 80' model.
Cheers...

Its a performance kit that was offered some years back out of England.

I just did a quick search, and they seem pretty much non-existent anymore, but you can still find a few select items: https://www.strangeengineering.net/catalog/index.html

Lowest point on the frame, although its all right there at the same point of 3 to 3.1 inches. Theres really not much travel to the suspension at all. My wife said she felt like she was being jarred around on the bumpier back roads.
