Sticking back brake BJ8

A friend has one sticking back brake on his BJ8. Other back brake is fine. So far we have replaced the flexy hose, rebuilt the wheel cylinder, replaced the metal pipe from the 3 way junction to the offending wheel cylinder, replaced the shoes and the pulloff springs. We have disconnected the handbrake at that side to ensure that is not causing problems.
All the above have been done at seperate visits ( that is, not all at once) The cylinder appears to move OK in the backplate. Any further suggestions ?

For what it may be worth, he had a splined adaptor come loose on this side a few months ago, which resulted in a new adaptor, hub and bearing being required.
