Sterling continues its slide

Now is a really bad time to have parked portions of
retirement funds in Pounds Sterling during the past
8 years as a hedge against domestic problems..

Us retired folks sure have taken a beating during the past year.
401K down 40% in 2008, paid off house value down 38%this past year.
Paid off boat down 80% in value in 2 years.

Soon, gonna be selling hotdogs in the street or become a Wal*Mart
greeter. The Mrs. seems to want veggies and wine
with the fish I catch. That takes $$ cash money.,

I have a a disability pension paid in Sterling, the exchange rate makes a huge difference to the money that I see. I'm thinking about just leaving it to sit and accumulate over there when I can afford to.

There was a young lady from Putney
Who adored the scent of good Chutney,
So dabbed it in smears, behind both her ears,
Or Fish Paste, if she had got any.

Totally irrelevant, but I just remembered it from English Lit lessons many, many years ago.

"Fish Paste"! Gross!

By the way, I just bought a number of items from Frontline Spridget in the UK.
Even with the shipping to the US, it was a good deal.

So I left it a bit late to buy anything from the USA?
