Ok I'm in a slight bind here. Machinist needs to know the stem to guide clearance and I'm coming up blank on the exhaust clearance. Bentley only list the intake clearance for the 18v. Is this the same for the exhaust or am I to use an earlier specs however the the intake has a different spec listed.

Leyland workshop manual says stem to guide clearance inlet .0015 to.0025 inch, exhaust .002 to .003 inch.Bob

Stewart ,Leyland manaul only lists one set of measurements for stem to guide clearance for all engines.Bob

Haynes calls for .0008" to .0018" for Inlet, and .002" to .003" for Exhaust (both for 18V)

I do about .0025" on the exhaust, bronze guides require a bit more clearnce on the exhaust, as they expands a bit more than cast iron guides, but need hardly any lubrication to run.
