Hi Skip,
I installed a Moto Lita wheel & hub on my non adjustable BN2. No machining required as long as you get the correct hub. I got mine from Victoria British, but they may be cheaper somewhere else. Note that the "correct" if it matters, wheel has the spokes positioned at 120 degrees. The Moss & some others do not.

No, mine was an adjustable column so I can't help, but I just received a Moss flyer with some low sale prices on wood steering wheels, in case you haven't purchased one yet. I purchased a Lempert wheel, which is very nice. The Lempert wheel has the spokes at 120 degrees, as Dave indicates, which allows the guages to be easily viewed. Some wheels have spokes that block the guages when car is driven straight ahead. Lempert has a web site, I believe.

Shorn .they should give them away the hubs are made in France and they are crooked. Put one in a BJ8 last week and it broke the stator tube. Could have been a random case but the customer was real upset. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

My Healey had a Moto Lita wheel fitted to the non-adjustable column when I bought it (1978). It still has it today.
It does look as though a little material was ground away directly under the tab used to cancel the trafficator action (circled in picture).

Thanks Keoke I had a wonderful visit with Mike Lempert today and he does make a great wheel and is also a heck of a nice guy. We drove his 100-4 and sprite and just enjoyed the morning. Lynne is getting a drilled and polished 15 1/2 inch wheel with African Rosewood for Christmas. I`m still getting 4 new wire wheels and tires though. Mike is a class act who makes a great wheel I can`t wait to see it on her car. I am also getting a set of 3.55 gears from him if they are as good as the steering wheels they will be fine. Skip

I just recieved my new wheel made by Mike Lempert and I am very pleased. He did an excellent job. We spoke many times during the decission making process and had very enjoyable conversations. My wheel can be seen on his site. I think you will be pleased with your choice. I have adjustable steering so I can not comment on that part. How ever I will include for any one reading this that I have all new steering wheel assembly parts and everything has pre assembled fine.

I have a 3.54:1 gearset enroute (sent $150.00 pre-production deposit last February and just sent remaining $135.00 last week). I'd say now is the time to order if you don't want a long lead time...
I have yet to decide on what traction device will go in with the new gearset. Also need a source for the remaining parts to properly set up the clearances, backlash, etc.
Mike is supposed to be sending out a recommendations list with each gearset, so I'll wait to see what he says.
