Steering wheel question

If your talking about the steering wheel, it sounds like an adjustable steering wheel. The large nut would tighten the wheel in place.
 
With the adjustable steering column, the steering wheel spokes are at different angles than the non adjustable wheel. They are equal distance apart compared to standard being with the bottom set pointing straight, the other two sets point slightly down from parallel.
 
OK....that answers that question...I have cars without adjustable steering so looks like a spare that can,t be used for me....

It even says so on the nut but my eyes don't focus like they used to...
