Steering Wheel Query???

I have a steering wheel to restore. Usual cracks which I plan on filling with epoxy. Wondering what epoxy to use and if I can get black. If not what to use to color it black. Thinking of using gun stock bedding epoxy. Should I paint afterwards? With what?


Suggestion's???

I used PC7 (grey) and painted with rustoleum plastic gloss black. Many like to paint with epoxy black, tough but dangerous paint for DIY.

The PC7 is the right stuff. But if you want the finish to last any time either use the epoxy or get a real catalized automotive paint. That way you can also get the gloss adjusted to what nyou really want. There is nothing dangerous about epoxy although you do need to take reasonable precautions with the urethanes. Here mine is just finished. It really looked almost unsalvageable before.
