What is the torque value for the lock nut? I have installed a new lock nut that has never been staked. Also ...does it even need to be re staked seeing as we now have Red Locktite available?

If you know the nut size you can Google torque values based on the nut size and thread pitch. I would also consider the blue loctite If the steering wheel /column would need service in the future. Frank

I would submit that you only want the nut to be snug and that "fixing" it in place is in place of torquing it down. No reason locktite would not work.
