Steering Wheel Boss Size

Hello All:

Would any of you know the steering wheel boss size for the 1969 Midget? I was told that the '68 /'69 were the same as the Mini (all years), but I have not been able to verify this.

Thanks!

68/69 Spridgets were 5/8" fine spline.
I do not know what the Mini's used but the 68/69 are unique.

That sounds good. My Mini notes show "5/8 Spline @ .72 spline diameter." That may well equate to "fine" spline.

If this does match, I'll order a Mini boss and check fitment. If it fits okay, I'll post that info here for other '68/'69 owners.

Thanks for the info...

UPDATE:

Okay, I received a Mountney Boss, "008 Classic Mini (without airbag), MGB & Midget to 1969, Austin America(1100 & 1300), Morris Minor,MGA, MGA/C <69, Sprite Mk3&4"

After removing the wheel and hub, I discover that the new Mountney is too large. Bummer.

Could be the hub is incorrect? Could be the steering column in the car is incorrect/from a different year? (VIN plate reads 9/69 GAN5UA/75316G)

Some photos. A ruler is shown for perspective:

Any thoughts?

Midget 1 takes a KK1058X (Merlin part identifier), Midget 2 takes a KK1007X.
That's all in the "M" range.

In the "M" range, Minis 78 to 2000, a KK154X.
Minis up to 1977 take a KK1007X.

Looks like an early Mini takes the same as a Midget 2.
