Steering wheel adapter question...

For Christmas my son and husband bought me a wooden Nardi steering wheel for my midget. They ordered an adapter kit, but for reasons we won't get into right now, I don't have and don't expect it. I found an adapter on-line that even has an MG logo centerpiece, but it says it is for MG (not midget) If this is an adapter for a MGA or B, will it work on my midget? It looks like the holes line up, its made for the Nardi steering wheel etc. and from what I can tell from looking at the B's on-line, the steering column looks prety much the same as mine. Thanks....

There are many, many different spline sizes on MG/Austins and they DON'T interchange. You need to be sure of the one you are getting and probably verify what year/model column that you have in your car to be safe.
Sorry

Has anyone ever welded one on? I've done a fair bit of research and just couldn't find any adapter specific to the spridget.

No, I would not recommend welding one on.

In my racer, I took an old steering wheel and cut out the center (saw the spokes off with a hacksaw).
After you strip away all the plastic covering, you can drill and tap the center piece....it makes a perfect steering wheel adapter (if you don't mind sacrificing an old steering wheel).

What year is the midget?

Run a search for Rex Marine...they have quite a stock of billet-machined adapters!!

1977. I was asked if its early or late, but I don't know (yet) There was something about the Decemberr cars that they are different from the earlier models? Anyway, it is 1977
