Hello,
I have a Sprite MK II with a strange electric ignition switch on the Car. There are some German word on the lock and key. Does not sound like original. (Steering does not lock). Behind the seats on the sprite there are the word written on the floor. Black lock steer. I thought that might be a factory written text. so I have requested a BMIHT Certificate in England. On that certificate is a reported that my car has a factory default steering lock. I can not find many details on the original parts for this. what does the starter relais look like? If the key is somewhere else, how does the dash look like. key and starter switch disappear. How did they close the holes are there holes. How did they change the wires under the dash ?
I have made some photos of how the steer lock looks now. And the starter relais. Does anyone have some photos of original parts? and how it is installed ? I am not changing anything yet. Just wanted to know how it sepost to be. I have other priorities, like getting it on the road again.
