TR2/3/3A Steering Issue?

Hamish - glad to see you're carrying on the tradition of racing a TR3. Here I am at the 1957 Cloudbank Hill Climb. "at speed?" The surface was dirt with jagged boulders on either side and this was my only car, so I didn't place well. Note the Cromwell Seagraves model crash helmet - hard leather. Not much protection.

Very great respect !
That is some achievement one a loose surface.
I just manage on the paved road.

Wow 1957 what a cool picture and great story pdplot. Your must have been young and exited and your new car on the line. Heard that if you had a sports car in the day the race track people let you into an event free plus you were treated with more respect and could get closer to the race. You obviously did get closer. Is that true about owning a sport car and getting in free?
