I have a 74 Midget and the seem between the left and right steering cowl is rather large, like an 1/8th of an inch. The screws are tight and inserted, does any one have a trick for keeping the left and right sides tight to one another?
 
Hello, they may be warped from sunlight. have you removed them to see if they will go together and if they do there may be something binding on the car.check to see if the wiring is routed correctly.

I Can hold them together its just they wont close when screwed together.

I would love to find another set.
 
Wiring has a habit of getting in the way. I just had mine all apart and it was a challenge to get baclk toghether.
