I'm in the process of converting from a fixed to an adjustable steering column (1960 TR3A).
Before I remove the upper section of the outer column, I'm wondering if the upper column which is now in place is the same length and interchangeable with the adjustable outer column, and if I could just leave it in place and change only the inner column, stater tube, wheel, etc.
It seems that it would save considerable effort if it would work that way.
Thanks in advance for your guidance.
